Deals Machine in the Speechmatics newsletter

Kyle Dow·Jun 18, 2026·3 min read

Speechmatics runs a newsletter, and Issue #11 features Deals Machine in its "Powered by Speechmatics" section — the roundup of voice-AI apps built on their speech-to-text. It's a good spot to be in, because Speechmatics is the transcription layer the entire cockpit runs on.

Built on Speechmatics

Every live call is turned into a real-time, speaker-separated transcript by Speechmatics, and that transcript is what the in-call coaching and the per-lead memory feed on. Their writeup captures the shape of it: Deals Machine "ingests call audio via Speechmatics, builds per-lead memory, then acts" — scheduling follow-ups, drafting emails, scoring leads, and updating the CRM.

The transcript is the raw material; the memory is what we make of it.

The one thing that never gets automated is the conversation itself. The drafts and follow-ups are prepared for the rep to review, and a human stays on every call. Everything Speechmatics powers happens around that, not instead of it.

Shipped alongside Melia

The same issue announced Melia, Speechmatics' new multilingual model — 55 languages, code-switching mid-sentence, no need to pick a language up front — along with a bigger free tier for the summer. That is exactly the kind of infrastructure that makes live, multilingual coaching practical, so it was fitting to be featured a few scrolls down from it.
